This 2015 vintage is a blend of approximately 60 % Pinot Noir and 40 % Chardonnay, from 11 lovingly selected crus. On the nose it reveals compact aromas of Pomme Gris, plum and Mirabelle, layered with blackcurrant, cherry and raspberry, followed by almond, hazelnut, honey, and faint vanilla undertones. The palate is rich and generous, textured and full‑bodied, showing orchard fruit, tropical hints (mango, papaya), toasted walnut, brioche, and a lean mineral finish touched by citrus peel and chocolate. Drink now or cellar for 10–15+ years; its depth and structural precision mark it as a gastronomic Champagne.
Bollinger is one of Champagne’s few major houses still independently owned, founded in 1829 in Aÿ and headquartered in Œuilly‑sur‑Marne. The house is distinguished by its rigorous, traditional methods: around 160 ha of vineyards, a cooperage on‑site repairing its own barrels, 100 % barrel fermentations for its vintage cuvées, and extended ageing on the lees under cork. Bollinger’s wines are built for depth and longevity, combining Pinot Noir intensity, oak‑derived texture, and a signature toasty mineral precision.
