Food-friendly, fresh, and satisfyingly tart, this '18 Friulano frames its crisp orchard fruits with white wildflowers, peppery spices, fresh-pressed herbs, bitter almonds, and lime zest. This wine puts its keen acidity front and center, but lush, creamy fruits provide a compelling counterweight; bitter almonds and sneaky minerality linger on the wine's elegant, delicious finish. Deriving from sandstone-rich, marly soils, this wine both ferments and ages in temperature-controlled stainless steel to retain its aromatic purity.

The original Pane Vino & San Daniele has essentially precipitated the launch of an upscale "chain"of sorts, with numerous outposts located in towns throughout northern Italy. These establishments are intended to promote the slow food philosophy and the enjoyment of local products, with an emphasis on the wines of Fantinel and the hams it produces in conjunction with the Testa e Molinaro company.
