Felsina is one of the great standard-bearers of Sangiovese in Tuscany, consistently producing wines of depth, structure, and longevity from their estate in Castelnuovo Berardenga, at the southeastern edge of the Chianti Classico appellation. Founded in 1966, Fèlsina quickly rose to prominence for its commitment to quality and site expression, long before the modern renaissance of Chianti. The estate practices organic viticulture and focuses almost exclusively on Sangiovese, producing wines that bridge traditional soul and modern precision. Their style is classically structured yet never rustic—marked by purity, freshness, and age-worthiness. Among their range, Rancia Riserva is the estate’s most iconic single-vineyard wine, sourced from a historic parcel with ideal sun exposure and galestro soils, situated at altitudes between 350 and 400 meters.
