It opens with a deep ruby color and aromas of red cherry, dried rose petals, sweet tobacco, and balsamic herbs. The palate is medium to full-bodied, showing layers of wild berries, blood orange, leather, and spice, wrapped in silky yet firm tannins and backed by a fresh, mineral-driven finish. There’s a notable clarity and lift that speaks to the vineyard’s elevation and optimal exposure.
Tenuta La Fuga sits in an envied area of the Montalcino appellation where the microclimate breeds exceptionally well-balanced, firm wines with great finesse. Originally part of the Camigliano estate, these vineyards were carefully developed for two decades before being sold to the Folonari family in 2002.
