The 2022 Ornellaia Toscana Bianco IGT is a luminous and finely detailed white wine, composed primarily of Sauvignon Blanc with a small proportion of Viognier, grown on Ornellaia’s coastal vineyards. The vintage was marked by a warm, dry growing season with early budbreak and steady ripening, which produced grapes of exceptional aromatic concentration and balance. Fermentation took place partly in oak barrels and partly in steel tanks, followed by nine months of aging on the lees with regular bâtonnage, enhancing texture and complexity. In the glass, the wine opens with refined, layered aromatics—grapefruit zest, white peach, lemongrass, acacia blossom, and a delicate touch of flint and fresh herbs.
