Creamy and refreshing, Rigogoli bursts with flavors of peach, almond, sweet spice and finishes with a clean, sea-swept minerality. The native Grechetto di Todi pairs well with Viognier which rounds out Grechetto’s acidity, but also serves to add more complex aromas to this wine. Rich and full bodied Rigogoli is perfect for pasta courses with meat sauce/ragout, shell fish, medium aged cheeses. 50% Grechetto, 50% Viognier
Nestled among Umbria’s rolling hills between Todi and Orvieto, the Salviano estate occupies 4,940 acres surrounding Lake Corbara and the banks of the Tiber River in the heart of the Orvieto D.O.C. production zone. Owned by the Marchesa Nerina Corsini Incisa della Rocchetta and run with the help of her sons, Piero and Giovanni, Salviano is part of a much larger estate, Titignano, located across the lake, in the eponymous medieval village. Built in 937AD, the Titignano castle and its court grew by the 17th century to include the village and the surrounding land including the Salviano castle and its property. The Salviano vineyards are planted to Sangiovese, Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon, Chardonnay, Sauvignon Blanc, Trebbiano Toscano (Procanico clone) and Grechetto, and extend over 173 acres, rising from 150m to 500m above sea level. These newly planted vineyards of indigenous and international varieties produce excellent quality red and white wines from the classic Orvieto Classico Supe
