The 2014 Sandrone Barolo Le Vigne “Sibi et Paucis†is a rare, late-release expression of this multi-cru Barolo, showing the elegant maturity and layered complexity that only time can deliver. Le Vigne is sourced from several top sites across the Barolo zone—typically including Villero (Castiglione Falletto), Baudana (Serralunga), Merli (Novello), and Vignane (Barolo)—carefully blended to reflect balance, harmony, and the broader identity of the region. Luciano Sandrone is often labeled a modernist because he opts for shorter macerations, the use of some new oak, and shorter aging requirements for his wines. However, that is only half the equation. Luciano’s training comes from a traditional background at the historic Marchesi di Barolo estate. It is here that he earned and saved enough to purchase his own tiny estate. Now his boutique-style winery with choice plot locations produces some of the richest, most polished Barolos in the region.
