This cuvee has a multifaceted structure with a hint of herbs and spices, including aniseed, mint and sage, as well as nuances of fruit aromas, especially apricot, mandarine, honeydew melon, maracuja and passion fruit, all underpinned with salty mineral components. On the palate, Nova Domus is complex and delicate, offering a creamy softness in an interesting symbiosis with an aromatic minerality, and has the texture for a very long finish.
A legendary cooperative of more than 100 wine growers located in Alto Adige's Dolomite Mountains, Cantina Terlan (sometimes spelled "Terlano") may get its name from the nearest town, but this wine producer contains multitudes. This mighty cooperative has more than 2,000 years of winemaking history on its side, as well as some extraordinary terroir, a combination that helps to explain the intensity, purity, and age-worthiness of Cantina Terlan's wines. Sheltered in a hollow of the Alps, Cantina Terlan's 300 acres boast south-facing vineyards that rise from 820-3,000 feet above sea level. These heat-retaining vineyards are composed of red porphyric rock (essentially the ground-up remains of ancient volcanoes), which lend a high mineral content to the wines while allowing for the vines to stay warm in the alpine winter and dry when it rains. Drawing on its body of knowledge and profound terroir, Cantina Terlan produces some of the finest whites in all of Italy, offering pure illustrations
