A rich and intriguing bouquet with hints of honey, nectarine peach and floral fragrances. With a fine structure, good balance and acidity, which gives pleasant freshness, with good returns of white fruits.
Montagnola Senese, a subregion of Chianti located about ten miles west of Siena, is home to unique soils--a red, chalky clay that's high in iron and much prized by vine-growers. The vineyards of Tenuta Trecciano spread across fifty acres of this coveted ground; here, the Trecciano estate grows Sangiovese, as well as Bordeaux grape varietals, taking adventive of the mineral-laden soils in its terroir-driven Chianti and Super-Tuscan bottlings. Trecciano's winemakers are mindful to tailor each wine's protocol to best suit its grapes and its flavor profile, using steel vats or botti for aging its Vermentino and Chianti, while employing barriques to age its Super Tuscans. The resulting wines are deeply enjoyable, pure, and thrilling evocations of the estate's lands and Chianti's ever-evolving history.
