The 2021 Oddero Barolo Villero is a poised and structured expression of one of Castiglione Falletto’s most esteemed vineyards. The wine is fermented with native yeasts and undergoes extended maceration, followed by aging in large Slavonian oak casks for about 30 months. Oddero is one of Barolo’s oldest and most respected estates, with a winemaking legacy dating back to the 18th century. Based in La Morra, the estate is today led by Mariacristina Oddero and her daughter Isabella, who have reinvigorated the family’s traditional style with renewed focus on organic viticulture (certified since 2018), terroir transparency, and aging potential.
